✨BURNING MAN PRINCIPLE #2: PARTICIPATION✨

"Our community is committed to a radically participatory ethic. We believe that transformative change, whether in the individual or in society, can occur only through the medium of deeply personal participation. We achieve being through doing. Everyone is invited to work. Everyone is invited to play. We make the world real through actions that open the heart." Whereas participation is normally defined outwardly - about how much you offer in time or effort to a specific project, for me, participation at Burning Man is how willing you are to participate in your own (my own) unraveling. In the unpacking of the deep-seeded psyche of what is "normal". Of stripping away convention (welcome to the Playa), and allowing yourself to see what comes up in your own intensive self-reflection. Burners are in a situation where NOTHING is normal. Yet, our normal reactions/reflexes are still activated - so we get to see them that much more clearly - because they just don't work. I'll share an example of this for me in video form later. For now... check out this photo. Pure love. Feminine COLLABORATION: trumps competition. How much do you allow yourself to be loved? That's participation. How much do you love yourself...? Ahh, yes, a layer deeper... NOW 👉🏽👉🏽Go look at yourself in the mirror 👀. See yourself. Say something nice to yourself. Recognize yourself. Re-cognize yourself. (A la: think of yourself differently.) Allow you to see yourself differently. Accept your own love as you would dose it out to others. That's radical participation... in your own existence! #TRUTHBOMB#MAKEPEACEWITHYOURSELF!
