I take this one way beyond this year’s Burn, way beyond the Playa, beyond environmentalism and deep into he Vedic concept of “Maya”... to truly leave no trace means not only that indeed we carry out every single thing we’ve brought in to the Burn, but also - we leave this lifetime having erased or wiped away karmic blunders with which we were born. A big part of the Burning Man’s fire symbology is communication of impermanence. We are born into this lifetime with no possessions, and too, we leave empty-handed. Thus, the more delicate, graceful and non-attached we can be during these short stints here on earth - the more honest, fulfilling and relaxing our existence becomes. Attachment wields discontentment and stress. You deserve better than that. Let go. Exhale. Minimize. Be alive. Realize this vitality is the only “thing” worth your investment. Everything else departs when you leave this Body. Only love will last on. 📸The Embrace... swipe ➡️ for its demise. (Worry not, you’ll meet your beloved somewhere else - in another time and place...) **CONTINUED IN COMMENTS**

  • liveforvitalityOh, and this, I wrote over the summer... GO WITH THE FLOW & BURN IT ALL DOWN Today I picked the Thunderbolt. The letting go. The instantaneous overthrow. The allowing of newness and unpredictable you-ness to flow through. Today I picked the thunderbolt. Depicted man and woman, leaping from a building - not out of desire, no - but because there was a fire, inside. Burning so bright, so ripe - a fire burning out their memories of wrong and right. This fire inside me, this burning to be free- demands me to forget. To be get. To get over myself and any idea of a plan Or a place to go, a stand #Kazakhstan #Afghanistan #Uzbekistan and #Tajikistan - All these lands… yet to explored. I do not know what life is like there How people are aware Or the color of their hair I do not know what surprises lay ahead On this road leading to dead This gift of life. I do not know, so why should I even guess? The Zen master takes the student off guard and sits on his chest: You think you know where you’re going? You have no idea. You think you’re comfortable in this show room? BURN IT DOWN! To the ground. Always stay on your toes Not out of fear But to connect into to flow To dance with life, to make no assumptions. To allow life and to have full gumption. Stay agile That’s free. Don’t get stagnant Drink water and frequently poo and pee. Simplicity. This is the power of transformation.. Are you willing to give up everything you think you know and everything you’ve planned? That’s what it will take for you to become a real man. Do you understand? Bury your feet in the sand… Because we’re about float. ©Andréa Paige 2017
