✨BURNING MAN PRINCIPLE #6: IMMEDIACY✨

We have work to do - and we have work to do NOW. THERE ISN'T MUCH TIME LEFT FOR OUR SPECIES ON THIS PLANET - unless we make significant changes to our trajectory - now. We're already well into the 7th great extinction of species. Our pre-frontal cortexes do not guarantee us a free ride out of that one! If the recent slew of hurricanes, fires, wind/sand/rain storms, volcanos and earthquakes aren't showing us that - then we aren't paying attention. This path of homecoming to balance is a path that DEMANDS self-reflection. The immediate need for presence... is first with ourself. "Immediate experience is, in many ways, the most important touchstone of value in our culture. We seek to overcome barriers that stand between us and a recognition of our inner selves, the reality of those around us, participation in society, and contact with a natural world exceeding human powers. No idea can substitute for this experience." This is one of my favourite burner principles. Well-suited for my Venus in Aires persona, the essence of "don't think - just go!" is simultaneously liberating and supportive towards flow state. And to me? That's a fuck yes. 🙌🏾😁💃🏽 What's your purpose? Why are you here? Can you uplift those around you in love and gratitude? Can you take a dose of eternal optimism? What do you really want? What needs of yours are not being met? What would it take for you to help yourself out? How's your awareness..? #consciousness
